Preparing children for changes in living environment

    Changing a living arrangement for a a weekend, a summer or as part of a new home move can be a challenging time for all members of the family.  These changes usually include a period of busy schedules, interrupted routines, unplanned changes, forgotten or misplaced necessities and the list goes on.   When making your to do list make sure to include making a plan to prepare your children.   There are many useful websites and wise family members and friends to tap for suggestions,tips and proven strategies.  Whatever your method, starting a plan and including your children in the discussion of moving, while managing their needs and listening to feelings will be sure to make your short or long term move a successful one.
