Someone told me the average age of communities vary? Is there really a difference?

That one is tough to say because they do not release exact numbers on this but you can assume the older the community the older the average age of the population will be.
The newer communities really have a big difference in average age from everyone else but keep in mind for a lot of people age is just a number. I always ask about your habits, can you ride a bike 50 miles? If not you may be too old for communities like Sun City West or Westbrook Village, even if you’re only 60 year old.

Keep in mind these people do not sit around waiting to die. They moved into these active adult communities to keep busy swimming, bike riding, golfing, etc. Unlike retirees that live in more traditional communities that offer no amenities these people wanted to stay busy.
